(im)materialists

(im)materialists is a selection of works that question the role of materiality in digital video. While all the featured videoers have some association with materialist filmmaking, these works address the immaterial qualities of video, found in modes of decision making. Through this series of works the artist, apparatus and audience become systematised into a process of decision making, something Vilém Flusser describes as 'quanta'.
